Supporting Landmark Power Station Closures
Hargreaves Services has supported the decommissioning of some of the UK's most significant power stations, including Ratcliffe-on-Soar and Cottam.
At Ratcliffe-on-Soar, our long-standing involvement with the site, dating back to 1994, provided the detailed operational understanding needed to support the early stages of decommissioning. Working alongside Uniper, we carried out critical preparatory activities including plant isolation, equipment removal, waste management and materials recovery.
At Cottam Power Station, our teams supported a wide range of decommissioning activities, from asset recovery and cable reclamation through to site clearance and environmental management works. We also helped process and repurpose legacy ash materials, supporting more sustainable outcomes and reducing waste.
